Family, Food and Fun

This Christmas was, by far, one of the best I've ever had. Having my family here with us was just wonderful. We ate way too much food, laughed until our sides hurt, and took lots of ridiculous pictures. Some of the most memorable moments include playing lots of games...

baking cookies...

and making music.

We did the ceremonial reading of The Night Before Christmas and the story of Jesus' birth on Christmas eve and exchanged presents on Christmas morning. I got a cozy bathrobe and a matching pair of slippers, an Estée Lauder makeup kit, a Dunder Mifflin travel mug and stress ball (which Callie bought at the NBC store in NYC... so awesome!) and assortment of other cool things. Of course, a major highlight of the morning was finally being able to open my special gift from Justin.

Late Christmas morning, we celebrated with the Vaughans in Lugoff. My family (with the exception of Callie) met Emily Grace for the first time. We all had so much fun!

The day after Christmas, we went to the movies and saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which I absolutely loved. If you haven't seen it yet, you should.

The last couple days of our time together was spent playing more games, eating more food, and watching more movies. All in all, the entire week was excellent! I should also add that my parents and siblings were superb houseguests; they always cleaned up after themselves and helped out wherever they could. I'm going to miss them so much, but there is some good news: Justin and I are planning a trip to Michigan in May of 2009 to see my baby sister graduate high school. So, even though spring seems far away now, I imagine the time will pass by quickly, and soon we'll all be together again.

I hope your holiday was as fun and exciting as ours was!

Love and Lattés,

Katie
